CAMP PRIDE 2016
CAMP PRIDE is a three-week day camp for young persons 11-15 years old hosted by the Horry County Police Department. The camp is staffed by Horry County Police School Resource Officers. This year’s summer camps are scheduled for June 6th-June 24th (St. James Middle School) for the first camp and July 11th-July 29th (Loris Middle School) for the second camp , Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Slots for the camp are limited. (First time applicants are considered before repeat campers.) The camp is free of charge and the only requirement is that the child is dropped off and picked up. Application deadline for both camps : April 22, 2016
It is the mission of CAMP PRIDE to develop discipline, resourcefulness, and teamwork in each camper through a highly structured educational and adventurous camp experience. Campers will learn the principles of Privilege, Respect, Independence, Diligence, and Excellence through individual effort and role modeling. Parents will have the opportunity to help shape the camp experience for their child by expressing specific goals for individual’s camp objectives.
